8 Limbs of the Astaunga Yoga
1. Yama - Ethical principles of harmony of self with each other
2. Niyama - Ethical principles of harmony with oneself
3. Asana - "A posture in which one feels comfortable"
4. Pranayama - A practice to control the movemnet of the vital energy of the body
5. Prathyara - Is withdrawl of the mind from external objectivity and goading it towards the Supreme
6. Dharana - To hold or locating the mind firmly in an area or a region of the body
7. Dhyana - "The unbroken flowof mind towards the supreme goal"
8. Samadhi - Is the merger of the unit consciousness with Cosmic Consciousness
